R.I.P.

So suddenly. So soon. SO sad.

Because whatever your opinions and thoughts of his foibles, his strangeness, his proclivities, his parental drama, his body issues, his face issues, his hair issues, his wives, his children, his siblings, his money, his decisions, his estate, his animals, his childishness, his politics, his hopes, his dreams, his re-inventions, his setbacks, his life ...

... there was always the music, the movement, the smile, the vision, the electric joy, and an unparalleled talent.

I hope you are moon-walking on the Moon.

Rest in Peace, Michael. Good peace.

Fe...don't you think when he did "Thriller" he was the most handsome guy? Not a soul can question his talent! Quite a shock.

What a shock. No one can deny his talent and genius and I suppose being as famous as he was and being in the spotlight all the time having your every move, action, word, belief dissected, you too would become a little odd in time. He was pathologically shy but and I think this was a byproduct of his notorious fame.

One of my nephews who owns a moving company, met him years ago. He went to drop off some items for him at Neverland and Michael came out to greet him. He said he was very childlike and friendly but as soon as he came out the bodyguards quickly grabbed him and took him inside his home. Just one of the things he had to live with day to day and being 'isolated' like that is not good for anyone.

So very sad. Very, very sad and perhaps now, after his death, some things will be explained. He was, as one immediately began to see, extremely loved. His loss is right up there with Elvis's and how the world mourned him so. Another icon gone way too soon.

It's the all too familiar and tragic story of talent exploited and gone wrong. The Thriller days were my favorite. It was sad the see his decline but not surprising.

I have never looked at the before and after photos side by side. What has society become that someone feels the need to change who they are, how so very sad. How lonely he must have been. Rest in peace Michael.
Blessings and smiles Fe.

Remember the concert that was rained out and postponed because of the lightening and its effect on the sound system, so that you and Franny had to wait until it was rescheduled. I had gotten you rain gear and tickets . . . It seems so long ago . . .

I remember him back in the Thriller days, too. I just loved to watch him move. We were visiting the kids this weekend and my son-in-law treated us to a lot of Michael's old videos.
Very sad that he's gone.

I think it may have been Seneca who said, "There is never genius without a tincture of madness."

It seems Michael had a huge share of both.
I appreciated his music. His dance. His genius. And his madness.

He was one of a kind.

Fe, I've found myself watching the Moonwalk video on youtube and the very old Jackson 5 videos too. I had a friend in high school who was a Jackson 5 freak. Sadly, I've completely lost touch with her, but she's been on my mind of late.

I have also been watching Michael on You Tube. The thing about some of his music videos, he looks Joyful. Fe, also stopped by to pass on the "Honest Scrap". Here is my "official" presentation speech:

The Honest Scrap is one of my favorite awards circulating in the blogosphere. I enjoy it because it gives the blog writer a chance to share some little known facts about theirself. Please accept this award, drop by my blog to check the rules and have fun passing it on.
