Wood, Sun, Sky

There's something about a wood.

Maybe it was the wood that stood at the bottom of the hill when I was a girl. All spring, summer and fall we ran, explored, played hide-and-seek, waded through the creek, kissed, and watched the light of the fireflies lazily weaving between the disorderly corridors.

As the light starts to slant into autumn, I find myself looking for woods to walk in, sit in, read in, be in ...

Accidental picture

Easy road.

Ha! I'm channeling my inner Lori. It is near where I live. Thank god for trees!
Tonight I must complete additional drawings for my class. I so dislike not being good at this! :-)

What a beautiful post! Trees in general are amazing to any child, but that wood is just so impressive! Found to your blog from Lori's.

Greetings from Sweden/Niger!

Thank you for these magical pictures of the woods. I grew up with woods nearby and trees like that hold a special place in my heart. Your "accidental" picture was meant to be, I believe. Dazzling.

And I do enjoy your political sidebar. Here's hoping we're headed home this time, although the news on the latest polls this morning was disheartening. You're right: "How stupid can we be????"

I'm going to add you to my blogroll, so it'll be easier to keep up with you. It's always a joy to come here.

Greetings, San -

Thanks for coming by, and for all the nice words and vibes.

What is interesting about that "accidental" photo is that I heard the shutter go, did not move, but could not find the perpective of the photo, or the tree. Odd, eh?
